Why in the kitchen? (Hmm, why not?)

It is very common to use some leaves, spices and even flowers in Mexican food.
This imagen reminds me about the oriental taste: tea leaves and lotto flower... so I made a strange mix in my mind... I love Tai, Japanese and Chinese food...
Good Lord! Sometimes I really want to understand how my brain works.

Heheheh!
It makes perfect sense now!
Well my assosiations are rather far from food, but when to think about it could have quite a interesting taste.. Rather rough I would say, but delicate at the same time..
I really like the idea of eating flowers! It's not common at all here! (I can only think about rose marmalade and a boiled cauliflower:P) Could you use just any flowers?? Or there are only some suitable kinds? I suppose some could be a bit difficult to digest? Or maybe it all depends on the preparation?
Well thanks for the info, very interesting! :)

The most elaborated is the Rose Soup, but depends on the zone. I love "Quesadillas de Flor de Calabaza" (Tortilla, fresh cheese and pumpkin's flowers)it's very simple and tasty...
I hate "Flor de Izote" (local desert plant)... my grandmother use to make it with pork, but the taste trent to bitter.
But tonite, let's go for pizza!!
